After the success of the first Wellington Ukulele Festival, Mainly Acoustic Music Club have organised another one.

These days there are so many people enjoying playing their ukes, individually or together. The festival will enable people to learn new tunes or upskill with tips from experts and beginners can learn new things about playing their ukes.

Justin Reed (from the band Shenanigans), Margaret Reed and Shane McAllister will lead the day of workshops and mass strums with a finale concert by The Nukes from Auckland, one of NZ’s top performing ukulele bands. It will be another fun day full of music and activity.

Strumming/teaching session from 11.30am to 3.30pm in Professionals Recreation Hall. Lunch break from approx. 1.30pm to 2.00pm.

Concert by The Nukes from 4.15pm to 6.15pm in the Gillies Group Theatre. Interval from approx. 5.00pm to 5.15pm.
